I've been a hiphop/R&B fan for long, and eventually got interested in Spike Lee's joint and an actor Denzel Washington. and i watched Lee's 'Marcolm X' last night and shocked by his life and involvement to the civil rights movement against segregation and discrimination. So i started to search any cite or article on Web. That's how i found your cite, and i'm truly impressed with your work! Especially when i knew that you're same age as I am. I recently becamed unbelieveably intrigued with Malcolm X. Not just his work but his personna. He is truly a fascinating beautiful person and although his pre-Mecca ideals were partially violent his ideas and plans of action after the trip were about else but equality and peace for everyone. I think that many people that are desciples of him follow the pre Mecca teachings accentuating the violence inferred in "by any means necessary." I have read a lot of messages here and I must say that I guess I simply don't understand Malcom X. If any person says that "white men are devils" then that person is a racist. Just as much as a skinhead that says "all jews are bad" is a racist. I thought Islam was about peace. I have read some of the Qu'ran and I can't find any reference to "white men being devils" so if someone wants to explain that to me please do. Otherwise, I simply write Malcom X off as a man that didn't have the strong will to think for himself instead let people polute his mind with evil and racist thoughts.

I believe after studying Malcolm X Aka Al Hajj Malik El Shabazz in history class and further research on my own, that he is the most inspiring leader history has seen. Despite his methods or what not, he overcame the hardships that he was forced to face and became the greatest catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement that America has seen. Great site. I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X in 1966 on a bus ride from Amarillo AFB to Sheppard AFB while serving in the US Air Force. I've taken an interest in his life story since then. Since retiring in 1998 I've worked with a partner selling Art. We visit Harlem often and feature pictures of Malcolm.We're currently working with Klytus Smith who took many pictures of Malcolm before Malcolm's untimely death. Keep up the good work.
