Malcolm X
NOTES:
- Sept. 2001 - February 2002: I'm currently in the US, doing research in
Computer Graphics at Mississippi State University.
- March 16 - March 25, 1999: I visited New York City and took a lot of
photos of sites related to Malcolm X. Among them are
the Masjid El Hajj Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X Avenue and 116th Street),
corner of Malcolm X Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard,
the Audubon Ballroom, and Malcolm's and Betty's grave at the
Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY
- Lots of material displayed on this site has been copied by others for
use on their sites without my approval! I strongly disapprove of this!
I have invested lots of time and work. If you want to use material
displayed on this site, please contact me first!
- Thanks to all who have left feedback. Special thanks to those who
have provided additional material or who have continued to motivate
me.
Since hearing the name "Malcolm X" for the first time around 1988 in a
rap song, I have been interested in him, his life and the changes he went
through. Like Betty Shabazz, his wife, once said in J.H. Clark "Malcolm X
- The man and his time", people who start to get interested in Malcolm
soon get very possessive of him...
I can't help myself, but I can't go to
a library without searching for information on Malcolm. Like many people,
his autobiography fascinated me and made me gather more and more
information.
"Two Roads To Freedom" is a study on the life and thoughts of Malcolm X
and Martin Luther King, Jr. I wrote back in 1992 when I was
still in school. The text also includes a paragraph on African-American history and many quotes.
The Malcolm X Picturebook includes many pictures of Malcolm's life, including pictures of his childhood, his time in the Nation of Islam, his
family, his visit to Africa and his tragic death in 1965.
A complete list of all books on Malcolm X that I have in my collection. Comments and ISBN-codes are included.
All the Frequently Asked Questions on Malcolm X. Including information on further sources of information.
READ THIS before you send me a letter asking for more information on Malcolm X.
My favorite poems on Malcolm X, mostly taken from the book "For Malcolm".
Lots of quotes from books, articles, interviews and speeches.
