Hi, Yes, I had much more trouble with the term "object oriented" than with "object". I need to think about this more. Paradigms are hard to pin down, because they are typically a composition of many interrelated ideas, rather than one simple idea. I think this is true of "functional programming" too. It is based on a very simple core definition ("function") but it requires many other techniques to be practically useful (monads, polymorphism, etc) Wiliam
